One fan’s creative interpretation
A creative fan recently created humanoid fan art featuring Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC’s legendary pocket creature, Ogerpon. The artist included all of Scarlet and Violet’s Ogerpon mask forms in their artwork, giving each character distinct features that accurately reflect each mask’s elements.
Inspired by firsthand experience
Even though there have been leaks about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Ogerpon, it was only recently that the community was able to fully play through The Teal Mask DLC. Fans got to learn more about the legendary Grass-type, and this firsthand experience likely served as inspiration for the more creative players. This may be why this particular artist was inspired to draw their take on what Ogerpon and its mask forms would look like as human beings, despite Ogerpon already being a humanoid Pokemon.
Showcasing the design concepts
The artist, FluorescenceFuture, posted images of their humanoid fan art on Reddit. They gave their Ogerpon a yellow-eyed female form and dressed them up in beautiful Japanese kimonos. Each kimono’s color scheme reflected the specific elements of each mask, mostly green for The Teal Mask, blue for the Wellspring Mask, red for the Hearthflame Mask, and grey for the Cornerstone Mask.
Attention to detail
The Ogerpon characters also wore masks on their heads, each with the shape of the mask they were designed after. FluorescenceFuture made them wield a bat, which is likely an homage to the ivy-wrapped cudgel that Ogerpon wields in battle. The designs are vibrant and accurate, impressing fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans with their attention to detail.
Continuing creativity
Pokemon fans may have seen FluorescenceFuture’s work online before. They have previously posted humanoid fan art for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters, as well as humanistic characters for their Pokemon party in The Teal Mask DLC. Hopefully, they will continue to create more humanoid design concepts for the upcoming DLC and share them with the community.
