Armored Core 6 brings back the franchise

Armored Core fans are having a great time because after an over ten-year wait, the franchise is back with Armored Core 6. The game is highly anticipated due to its high-speed combat and extensive mech customization.

A mod for the game turns CJ from GTA San Andreas into a mech, showcasing the creative possibilities and customization options in Armored Core 6. The mod was created in collaboration with TKGP, a Twitch streamer of STALKER mods. Despite lacking official mod support, the game has garnered positive reception and a large player base, making fans hopeful for future mod support from FromSoftware.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon

In Armored Core 6, the mysterious substance known as Coral has resurfaced on the planet Rubicon 3. In its first appearance, Coral led to great technological developments. Now, extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups are fighting for control of it. Like other Armored Core games, Armored Core 6 features high-speed combat and offers the player a high degree of mech customization. In this return to its quest-based roots, Armored Core 6 also has a Soulsborne tradition even if it isn’t a Soulslike game along the lines of FromSoftware’s “brother” Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Mod turns CJ into a mech

The YouTube channel Dropoff has published a video showing the mod that turns CJ from GTA San Andreas into an Armored Core 6 mech. The video is over 2 minutes long and showcases a giant version of “mech CJ” in the game’s garage. The player then selects the Destroy the Tester AC mission to show the mod in action. Although this isn’t the strangest mod CJ has ever received, his mech version has long, weird arms, and his body has weapons attached that he uses to shoot enemies.

Mech customization in Armored Core 6

Armored Core 6 lets players test different combinations of mech parts and weapons, opening up space for trying new ideas and loadouts. This customization system has been one of Armored Core 6’s most praised features. In addition to the decal system, players are putting mech customization to very creative uses, such as building Kirby’s mech in Armored Core 6.

No official mod support

Support for mods does not officially exist in Armored Core 6. Even so, one of the comments on the video expressed the desire to see a Gundam skins mod added to the game in the future. Armored Core 6 is yet another FromSoftware release with a positive reception by the public and critics alike. Shortly after its release, the game reached 150,000 concurrent players on Steam, making it the fifth biggest release of the year on the platform. Armored Core 6 already has a popular feature to entertain players, along with the mech combat experience. Considering this, players may hope that FromSoftware will soon officially add mod support to Armored Core 6.
